The first day of the Information Security and Auditing workshop, held on October 3, 2023, was marked by informative and engaging sessions. In the morning, the trainer, Kaveri Kotgale, an experienced information security expert, introduced the core concepts of information security. Participants learned about the importance of protecting data and systems from unauthorized access, alteration, and destruction, while delving into key principles like confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
Day 2 of the Information Security and Auditing workshop, held on October 4, 2023, continued to provide participants with a deep dive into the practical aspects of information security auditing, with a specific focus on audit checklists. The morning session began with a recap of Day 1, allowing participants to consolidate their understanding of fundamental concepts, such as the importance of information security and the need for security audits. This refresher was followed by a question-and-answer session, encouraging active participation and clarifications.
Day 3 of the Information Security and Auditing workshop, held on October 5, 2023, marked the culmination of an informative and engaging series of sessions, further enhancing participants' knowledge in the field of information security and auditing. The morning session began with a recap of the foundational concepts covered on Day 1 and the practical aspects of audit checklists explored on Day 2. This served to reinforce participants' understanding of these critical topics. A question-and-answer session based on Day 2 content allowed participants to seek clarifications and deepen their grasp of audit checklists.
The fourth and final day of the Information Security and Auditing workshop, held on October 6, 2023, was dedicated to an afternoon session focused on discussion and addressing queries from participants. During the discussion, participants were encouraged to share their takeaways from the workshop and discuss how they planned to apply their newfound knowledge in their professional roles.
