A lot many contributions have been given by eminent scholars in Mathematics like Aryabhatta, Brahmagupta, Mahavira, Bhaskara II, Srinivasa Ramanujan, etc. Among all the legendary Indian mathematicians, Srinivasa Ramanujan set an example of his unfolding genius regarding fractions, infinite series, number theory, mathematical analysis, etc. To pay tribute to his genius and his renowned works, Government of India declared 22nd December as our National Mathematics Day in 1987, to be celebrated annually with the aim to eradicate phobia and fear of Mathematics among children and adults. MUIS too celebrates this auspicious day to commemorate the birthday of this Mathematics Wizard. To sparkle his memorial works, many activities are arranged by Mathematics Departments all over the nation
