During the camp events like Gram Safai, Yogasan, Sheri Naatak (Street Play), Vyasan Mukti Rally, singing, elocution, skit, drama were planned by keeping “Azadi ka Amrit Kaal” as the core theme. Further for boosting the theme experts and guests were felicitated with a “Khadi Handkerchief” as a token of remembrance.

The main objective of organizing this National Service Scheme (N.S.S.) was to enable the students to understand the community in which they work, to understand themselves in relation to their community, to practice national integration and social harmony, to acquire leadership qualities and democratic attitude and to provide service to society. Apart from learning how to save the community, the objectives of organizing the special camp was to develop the personality of the volunteers by instilling the qualities like unity, honesty, co-operation, etc. to enable them to adjust and adapt to various situations to comprehend problems prevailing in the society and to make them aware of the various resources available to deal with the problems.

During the whole tenure of the camp, it was a worth mentioning that around 20 N.S.S. Alumni Volunteers served for the unit depending on their availability from their jobs, studies or business ranging from 2 to 7 days. Throughout their tenure, they guided the current volunteers wholeheartedly. However, their presence was not just limited to providing guidance to the current volunteers but it extended its wings to their active participation with the current volunteers also. They gave in their all to make sure that the volunteers didn’t face any problems in adjusting to their surroundings.
