Aim/Purpose :
- empower students to make informed decisionsrelated to use of alcohol and other drugs.
- emphasize an awareness of choice, personal responsibility, and understanding of consequences.in deciding to use alcohol and other drugs.
- encourage the campus community to prevent alcohol and drug-related incidents.
Dr. Savan Patel introduced the speaker during the event's introductory session. An Anti-drug awareness program was conducted in the institute under Student Development Cell Committee. The workshop was a huge success and a memorable learning experience for all 73 participants from AMPICS College. Mr.Vatsal Kathiriya in his motivational speech, informed that every day India sees 10 suicides related to drug abuse. He also added that a report by the central government demonstrated that the vast majority of youth are receiving drug and alcohol prevention messages from sources such as TV, radio, posters and pamphlets, Movieads and campaigns as this. Further more, the report on its special analysis showed that those who have been exposed to such messages are significantly less likely to abuse drugs.
