Pi DAY CELEBRATION - 2021

Department of mathematics of Mehsana Urban Institute of Sciences, Ganpat University organized a webinar on “The joy of 𝜋”. The Webinar was held on 14th March, 2021 from 10.00 am to 11.00 am on Zoom meeting and was streamed live on Facebook. Respected Dr. Devbhadra Shah, Associate Professor, VNSGU, Surat was invited as speaker for this webinar.
The Webinar began at 10 am in the presence of Dr. Amit Parikh, Dean, Faculty of Science and Principal, MUIS, Dr. Nagjibhai Rabari, Head Mathematics Department and all the members of the Mathematics Department, MUIS, Ganpat University.
The webinar started with the Video depicting the Student Life and campus of Ganpat University. Thereafter, welcome of all the attendees was done on this virtual Platform, Dr. Amit Parikh, delivered the Welcome address which was followed by welcoming the Speaker Dr. Devbhadra Shah with Statement of gratitude.
The Webinar witnessed an active participation from all Mathematics faculties and students across various colleges in Gujarat. Nearly 100 participants (Faculties and students) joined the webinar virtually.
The Webinar was structured in a PPT with visual impact. During the webinar, it was explain "𝜋" Sudoku and "𝜋" bracelet it was highlighted that considerable scope exists to develop the 𝜋 application and was explained with supporting examples to the participants.
It was a highly informative session which helped everyone imbibes knowledge about the 𝜋 to develop calculations for building and construction, quantum physics, communications, music theory, medical procedures, air travel, space flight and progress in the field of Mathematics to bring new innovations. It was very motivating webinar for all the participants.
It was very interactive session with an intensive question/answer session at conclusion. Many attendees sent their questions in the chat box during the session. Dr. Nagjibhai Rabari, Head, Mathematics Department, MUIS, Ganpat University proposed the vote of thanks. Finally we collected feedback form from the participants and e- certificates were issued to all the registered attendees.
