Introduction
Ganpat University, Mehsana (Gujarat), organized a special event titled “Vande Mataram @150” to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the national song Vande Mataram. The celebration aimed to honor the patriotic spirit embedded in the song and to instill a sense of nationalism, unity, and respect for Indian heritage among students and faculty.
Objective of the Celebration
The primary goals of the event were:
- To pay tribute to Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay, the composer of Vande Mataram.
- To promote awareness about the song’s historical and cultural importance.
- To inspire students with patriotic fervor and a sense of national pride.
- To unite all affiliated institutes of Ganpat University under a common cultural celebration.
