Institution’s Innovation Council
Ministry of Education, (MoE), Govt. of India has established MoE’s Innovation Cell to systematically foster the culture of Innovation among all Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). The primary mandate of MIC is to encourage, inspire and nurture young students by supporting them to work with new ideas and transform them into prototypes.
MIC has envisioned encouraging the creation of ‘The Institution’s Innovation Council (IICs)’ across selected HEIs, and the Institute of Computer Technology, Ganpat University is one of them. The IIC at GUNI-ICT under Head of Institute - Dr. Hemal Shah, Head of Department – Prof. Dharmesh Darji (Associate Professor), IIC President - Prof. Umang Thakkar (Assistant Professor) will function in line with the Center for Entrepreneurship in organizing innovation and entrepreneurship-related activities, with Prof. Swapnil Vakharia as the Convener and all other Teaching & Non-Teaching faculties as the Members of IIC.

- To create a vibrant local innovation ecosystem.
- Start-up supporting Mechanism in HEIs.
- Prepare institute for Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievements Framework.
- Establish Function Ecosystem for Scouting Ideas and Pre-incubation of Ideas.
- Develop better Cognitive Ability for Technology Students
