Dr. Kiran Amin is working as Deputy Pro Vice Chancellor & Executive Dean of Faculty of Engineering & Technology, Ganpat University.

Dr. Kiran is a doctorate in Engineering & Technology in the domain of Data Mining. Master of Engineering in Computer Engineering and Bachelor of Engineering(Computer) from L. D. College of Engineering 1993 batch.

His area of interest is Data Mining, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.

He is pioneer in strengthening academic and research programs of the Institute. He has set up several modern laboratories especially Computer Engineering, Marine Engineering among others. 

During his tenure, Marine Engineering courses touched heights of excellence and were graded A1 in the State of Gujarat which are approved by the Directorate General of Shipping, Government of India. He has initiated numerous certificate courses in Marine Engineering approved by Gujarat Maritime Board and Directorate General of Shipping.

He is also holding the position of Chair, IEEE, Gujarat Section. He has also worked in the capacity of Technical Activities & Membership Development Chair, IEEE Gujarat Section, and was awarded the best recruiter by R10 (Asia Specific Region), IEEE.

He has received various awards like CMI Level 5 in Management and Leadership by UK government and AICTE, Best Dean award given by ABP News, International awards in teaching education by Indo-US.

Under his leadership, Institution was awarded as “Excellence in Research” by Government of Gujarat in 2018 and subsequently, University was awarded as “Excellence in Placement Activities” in 2018 wherein engineering domain played an important role.

Dr. Kiran Amin has played an instrumental role in various innovative ideas like Digital India, Green Campus, Startup, Societal Activities in nearby rural areas.

He has contributed in Centre of Excellence in RedHat, Bosch Rexroth, Bosch India, e-infochips(An Arrow Company), HP-Microfocus, NASSCOM, Additive Manufacturing with Stratasys, IBM in the Campus. He focused on industry-based unique programmes like Marine Engineering, Big Data, Cloud Computing, Cyber Security, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics & Automation and many more.

He has done various illustrious research activities in the area of Data Mining. He has guided several Ph.D. Scholars and Post Graduate students.

He has published numerous research papers in International/National Conferences & Journals, and he is a reviewer of several International Conferences/Journals with high impact value.

He has written the textbooks of standard 10th, 11th, 12th in Computer Subject “Computer Parichay/ Introduction to Computers” for Gujarat Secondary Education Board. 

He is a member of the Board of Governors and Academic Council of Ganpat University.

He visited several Countries and organised alumni meet across the globe including USA.
