I am inviting motivated students to collaborate on research in Applied AI in Music an emerging field at the intersection of artificial intelligence, data science, and acoustic/musical analysis. Students interested in exploring machine learning applications for music generation, audio signal processing, sound classification, music recommendation systems, or related interdisciplinary topics are encouraged to reach out. This is an excellent opportunity for students who want hands-on exposure to AI research, contribute to academic publications, and work closely with faculty on real-world and experimental projects. This work can also be undertaken as part of final-year projects or dissertations.
Profile
Mayur Mistry is an Assistant Professor at Ganpat University with over four years of industry experience as a Data Analyst, bridging the gap between academic research and applied data science. He teaches undergraduate courses in Operating System, Data Structure, Programming Languages and is passionate about fostering critical thinking and hands-on learning in his students.
Before joining academia full-time, Mayur Mistry spent time in the UK and India as a Data Analyst, where he built Power BI dashboards, machine learning models for risk forecasting, and automated ETL pipelines for compliance and safety reporting work that improved decision-making and reduced operational risk across cross-functional teams.
Mayur Mistry holds a Master of Technology in Big Data Analytics and an MSc in Management with Project Management from BPP University, London, and is currently pursuing a PhD in AI in Music at Ganpat University. His research has been published at international conferences, spanning topics such as sensor-based health monitoring, precision agriculture, IoT security protocols, and AI-based illness prediction.
He is an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner and an IBM Certified IoT Trainer, and continues to explore the intersection of AI, data analytics, and emerging technologies both in the classroom and in research.
