Overview

The foundation caters to projects that are community-focused, which include literature, awareness, promotion, helping & supporting the under privileged, senior citizens and less fortunate people of the society.

Goals

1. Max no. of surveys taken in slums of gota region (around 100 - 125 surveys per day).
2. Making it socially aware by photos and videos over social media

 ( instagram - @prayas_2019 ).

3. Max Time spent for better understanding of their daily life problems.

Milestones

• DAY   1 

  • Dulichand ni challi , Navrangpura.

• We all successfully completed the survey of 125+ families in and around that slum.

• DAY   2

  • Gulbai  Tekra , Navrangpura . 

• We successfully covered surveying entire area TOGETHER  in and around gulbai tekra . 

• We took kids to food treat #dominos !!!

• SLUMS are under the critical conditions of water requirement and treatment of sewage lines! counting on the population of  300+!

• DAY   3

  • Lakhudi tadav , SP stadium

• We covered a bit around near SP stadium , then we @Helmet circle the population under @critical water alert .

• A subgroup of ours discussing the surveys and daily life situation 

• DAY   4

  • SP stadium road

• We successfully surveyed  in and around talav and the stadium area

• DAY   5

  • Akhbar nagar , nava wadaj . (labors at Citli circle

• Subgroup of ours were divided near bus terminal slums .

• We successfully surveyed citli circle , Akhbar-nagar  

• DAY   6

  • Jawahar Nagar na chapar

• We surveyed 115+ families in and around slum , waste collection and cleanliness is critical issues.

• A subgroup of ours surveyed ladies and kids who faced toilet hygiene and water scarcity.

• DAY   7

  • Oodno tekra , juna vadaj. 

• Subgroup of ours moved in and around oodno tekro , 
• WATER SCARCITY HIGH AND SEWAGE TREATMENT !!!

• SEWAGE AND DRINKING WATER IS MAJOR ISSUE WE FOUND IN SLUM WE  SURVEYED

• DAY   8

  • Ramapeer ni chali , joganiya ni chali , khodiyar ni chali .

• We surveyed 115+ families in and around @ramapir ni chali  

• Subgroup divided into slums ( @joganiya ni Chali near @ramapir ni tekra )

Major issues are living accommodation and high water scarcity !!.

• At khodiyar Nagar ni Chali near @ramapir na tekra , majorly living accommodation and drinking water shortage .

• DAY   9

  • On the following day, we had done a survey of the Sabarmati region.. We have surveyed Sharmaji ni Challi and Shankarpura

• We successfully surveyed 110+ families on the following day.

• They were mainly facing problems of living as their houses were broken down for making new residency.

• DAY   10

  • On the following day we had done survey of Sabarmati region.. We have surveyed Kolsi ni chali.

• We had successfully survey around 100+ families in this region.

• Their many people were facing issues of drinking water and place to go for toilets. And some were not using the public toilets provided by the government

• DAY   11

  • From this day we have to start identifying the people of the gota region.

                      We had taken a survey of people living near Housing road, Gota.

• On this day we had identified 80+ families and know their difficulties in living their lives.

• There Main problem was Shelter, Drinking water and toilets. There was also no facility of public toilet.

• DAY   12

  • This Day we have identified people living in Vande Matram road in Gota region

• On this day we gave survey around 80+ families and know there difficulties.

• There was main problem of Drinking water and going for toilets

• DAY   13

  • For The following day we have visited a construction site in sukan glory road, gota. 

• On this Day we have surveyed over 90+ families and acknowledged their difficulties.

• Mostly their problems was living and food.

GOALS 

• Group 1 is successfully achieving more than the desired no. of surveys to be taken daily and understanding the needs among slums and surroundings.
• Socially we have achieved quite considerable awareness by uploading photos and videos of their current living style. 
• We are hoping from “ KARMA FOUNDATION”  to help those slums in any least way they can! 

OBSTACLES 

• MAJORLY THESE ARE THE OBSTACLES 
  • LIVING ACCOMMODATION
  • WATER SUPPLIES AND  
  • SEWAGE TREATMENT IS NEEDED. 

EXPERIENCE 

• ON BEHALF OF MY TEAM I CAN SAY THAT “ WE HAD A GREAT EXPERIENCE HAVING CONVERSATION IN LOW KEY MANNER, UNDERSTANDING THEIR NEEDS !!
