IIT-B Spoken Tutorial
ICT has partnered with Spoken Tutorial, IIT Bombay which is an NMEICT, Govt. of India initiative to enhance the skill set of students both UG and PG to promote its mission of providing resources to its students to make them industry-ready. Spoken Tutorial Project is an award-winning MOOCs (from Google), running a successful IT training program in India for the past 5 years. Training is offered on Free and Open Source Software (FOSS). Exotic and lucrative courses like Python, Perl, BASH, GIMP, Blender for multimedia, can be learned effectively through Spoken Tutorials.
The courses are useful for both jobs (Skill focus courses) and academics (Syllabus focus courses). The program is funded by MHRD, Govt. of India. The training is on campus.
The tutorial is an asset to the students since learning becomes more effective when animation and narration are presented simultaneously. Audio-video demonstrations can illustrate features with maximum clarity.
Participation by students is mandatory and the appointed faculty Prof. Hirav Shah will batch the students and update them on the same.
